Castello Querceto, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2019 (500ml)

The castle of Querceto takes its name from the forest oaks which surround the old fortified walls. Nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Castello di Querceto have been producing wines known for their elegance, quality and character for over 100 years. Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2019, also known as the "holy wine" is made from a blend of Malvasia and Trebbiano and only made in the very best years. The grapes were hand-harvested and left to dry on wooden racks for 3 months to remove water and enhance the sugars in the grapes, before being aged in oak for three years prior to release. Notes of honey, walnuts, raisins and toffee apple moves to a richly smooth, enveloping palate with an incredibly long, moreish finish.
